Xijing College, located in the ancient city of Xi 'an, is a provincial ordinary private undergraduate university and a "first-class college" construction unit in Shaanxi Province. The school was founded in 1994, approved as an ordinary undergraduate university in 2005, and granted the right of bachelor's degree in 2009. In 2010, as the first private university in China, it passed the undergraduate qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education. In 2011, it became one of the first five private universities in China to obtain the qualification for postgraduate training of master's degree. In 2017, it passed the undergraduate teaching audit assessment of the Ministry of Education.

Xi'an University of Technology, founded on May 1, 1949, is located in Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province. It is a university jointly established by the central government and Shaanxi Province, an institution implementing the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of China, a "domestic first-class university building university" in Shaanxi Province, a member of the New Silk Road University Alliance, and a provincial high-level university in Shaanxi Province.
